In a hotel room the other night, unwinding from a day of hypnotherapy training, I scrolled through a few interesting-looking YouTube videos.
I was particularly looking for a guided meditation to help me unwind from a busy day.
And, like the first puffs of raw sewage meeting the sea, there it was meeting my ears in a way I hadn’t experienced before:
AI, at its worst.
A computer generated voice reading what could have been a computer generated script.
Vanilla platitudes read almost convincingly were it not for the occasional mispronunciation that only a non-human would get wrong.
No doubt YouTube will become flooded with this sort of nonsense in a matter of months.
Sad in a way, but not in others.
It means genuine human material will stand out as superior quality, at least for a while.
And it means real human interaction will feel even more valuable, as more and more AI generated video and courses are pumped out to harvest cash.
Anyway - that’s just my little thought for the day - I’ve just written this in my car before going into the classroom again with real people to be taught by a real human.
And I’m appreciating that experience more than ever!
Are there any humans you need to send some thanks to today? Make the most of the people in your life.
